Mike Brayden

Mike Brayden has been an Acting Coach for BBAS since 2014 and took over as the owner of the studio in 2020. His students have been in major motion pictures, series regular roles in network shows and major streaming platforms like Netflix, AppleTV, Amazon (Criminal Minds, Book of Boba Fett, Babysitter’s Club, The Lake, Resident Alien, 911) and National Commercials. Mike’s style of coaching embraces a child’s need to play and have fun while also expanding their craft to best prepare themselves for acting on camera. Mike started acting as a teenager on the stage and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater Arts from the University of Richmond and has trained in Improv, Commercial Acting, Television/Film Auditioning and Active Listening. Mike is the BBAS self-tape guru and helms other video services like actor slates and demo reel scenes.

He has been in nearly two dozen independent films and has studied locally with Robert Wald for active listening, Renee Ashton and Jules Bruff for professional audition techniques, National Comedy Theater and D. Candis Paule for Improv and Commercial, Rob Adler for Improv. Mike played the lead role in the 1st place film at the 2014 48-hour Film Project San Diego, for which he also won an award for Best Actor. The film “A Good ol’ Chap” and six of Mike’s other films have been featured in multiple film festivals nationally. His success in the community has led to multiple film screenings at the major local film festivals, as well as an actor nomination in the first two San Diego Film Awards. He has appeared in numerous commercials and is currently is represented by Shamon Freitas Talent. Mike has been teaching with BBAS for a long time, and he enjoys working with an amazing team of acting coaches, so that he can do for others what his teachers did for him. He knows first-hand the impact that proper training in acting and the arts can have, and how it enriches lives.
Aimee La Joie
Aimee La Joie is a SAG-AFTRA actress born and raised in San Diego. She was bitten by the acting bug as a child, filming her own sketches with the family camcorder and later being heavily involved with the drama department at Fallbrook High School. After she graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Film Studies, she began pursuing acting as a career. She studied improv and musical improv at Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles. Aimee is best known for her comedic chops and countless crazy characters she plays in sketches she writes and films herself, such as her viral “The Film Crew” series. In recent years she starred in the independent film Freedom, Wisconsin, which has been doing the film festival run the last couple years. Aimee is excited to be back at BBAS after a few year hiatus. She hopes to inspire young actors to break out of their shells and not worry about being shy or embarrassed while performing or in general.
Hayley Strubbe

Hailing from Orlando, FL, and then Los Angeles, CA, Hayley has worked with some of the biggest talents and producers in the business, from The Florida Project with Willem Dafoe, to the new Apple TV+ show Home Before Dark- refining her professional skills in entertainment while also making lifelong friends in the film/theatre industry. She has a B.A. in Theatre Studies with a minor in Film.

Hayley teaches online Zoom classes and private sessions.

After moving to California with her twin sister, she was able to catch the attention of 5J Talent Management, and is currently represented by them. She has worked with children in both acting and fitness and is excited to continue helping young minds learn and grow!
